Paper

I make hand made paper using a variety of fibers including cotton, abaca, and recycled materials. I am drawn to the similarities between paper and clay. Both mediums surround us in every day life, but are labor intensive to produce by hand. Attention to water, pressure and time is required to achieve a high level of craftsmanship. Working with handmade paper allows me to explore fragility, lightness, color and pattern.
